Austria Post celebrates UEFA Euro 2008 with the worlds largest and highest face value MotionStamp ever produced!
When Austria Post were looking for a way to celebrate UEFA Euro 2008, it was no surprise they chose to produce a commemorative stamp featuring the dream goal scored scored against Sweden in 1997 by Andi Herzog. What would be surprising to many was that Austria Post chose New Zealand based Outer Aspect’s world leading MotionStamp technology to produce the stamp.
The Andi Herzog stamp is the most complex and sophisticated stamp Outer Aspect has ever made. It incorporates 3 seconds of video footage, the highest ever put within a MotionStamp.
The stamp incorporates other firsts for MotionStamp technology. It is the largest MotionStamp ever produced measuring 6.5cm by 4.7cm and with a nominal value of 5.45 Euro it is the highest face value stamp ever produced.

A Brief History of Action Replay Stamps
Back in August 2004, NZ Post released a series of action replay stamps. In contrast to a 100% lenticular stamp, they were what's known as 'hybrid' stamp, which consist of half plastic, half
plastic, half paper. Four stamps, designed by Saatchi and Saatchi, were created to celebrate New
Zealand's proud Olympic history which included: Peter Snell's historic victory in the 800m middle
distance run at the 1960's Olympics, Ian Ferguson and Paul McDonald's K2 win at the 500m race in Seoul, John Walker's win at the 1500m in 1976 at Montreal, and finally, Yvette Williams, who wins gold in the long jump at Helsinki.
The 'hybrid stamp has quickly been suspended by the full 100% MotionPrint video stamp as they only consisted of only solely three images, which were of low resolution.
Today, we at Outer Aspect Ltd , can proudly say that we have superceded this approach and have produced, for the first time ever in the World, truely 100% MotionPrint stamp with a full 2 seconds of video footage.
